Pre-Purchase Inspections

A pre-purchase inspection is a visual termite and borer inspection only, carried out prior to the purchase or settlement of your new property.

A qualified and experienced technician will inspect all visible timbers throughout the whole premises including:

* roof void & subfloor (where possible)
* any tree stumps
* fences
* retaining walls, etc
around the perimeter within a 50 metre radius where applicable.

Moisture meters are also used throughout the course of your inspection and as moisture can attract termites to your property, it is important for us to notify you of all areas where moisture is detected.  (Please note a plumber should be called in to inspect all areas where the technician noted moisture was detected and the problem rectified as soon as possible.)

It would be preferable (but not essential), for you (the purchaser), to be present at the property on the day of the inspection, so our technician can explain:

* any existing problems about the building
* and any areas of concern that may require your attention in the future.

A preliminary report is written by our technician at the property and is then returned to the office, where an official typed report will be prepared and forwarded to you (the purchaser) for your perusal.

Please note pre-purchase inspections are carried out to the Australian Standards AS4349.3. and as per our company policy, the technician will require payment in full before discussing any information with you or prior to release of all official documents.

If you would like to make an appointment or you would like further information regarding a visual pre-purchase inspection, please do not hesitate to email or call our friendly office staff who will be more than happy to assist you.
